Our Philosophy

Robotics is the screwdriver, not the point

They're wonderful tools, and kids love them. But tools aren't the point — what a child builds with them is. The skills that last a lifetime are the human ones — and they're forged by doing difficult things, not by being told about them.

So we build a ladder of increasing complexity for every age, where the challenge sits just past comfortable. The robot is the excuse. The growth is the goal.

Empathy

Reading the room, helping a teammate who's stuck.

Public speaking

Explaining your build to a room full of parents.

Collaboration

Sharing a kit, a plan, and the credit.

Problem solving

Staying with a hard thing until it works.

Innovation

Trying the idea nobody asked for.

Team building

Leading, following, and knowing which is needed.

Montessori-Inspired

Why we mix ages on purpose

An older student helping a younger one with their build

You'll see an eleven-year-old helping a six-year-old work out why their motor spins backwards. That's deliberate — borrowed from Montessori.

  • Older kids become mentors. Explaining an idea out loud is the fastest way to find out whether you really understand it.
  • Younger kids learn faster from peers. Someone who figured it out five minutes ago explains it in exactly the right words.
  • Instructors guide throughout. The mixing is a feature we designed in — not a gap we're papering over.

Find where your child starts

Every program runs in small groups with a hands-on project each session. Children move up when they're ready, not when the calendar says so.

Just starting

Ages 4–7

First builds, first code, first time explaining an idea to a room.

Building skills

Ages 7–11

Real mechanisms, real programming, and projects that take more than one session.

Going deep

Ages 10–12

Python, machine learning, connected devices and a competition season.

My child has participated in two after school enrichment classes through the AI & Robotics Academy. Instructors Eddie and Joshua were engaging and fun to learn from. I appreciated the thorough recap at the end of the class series so I could discuss class content with my child!

Make games with your hands in the air

Our online game design classes start somewhere unusual: kids build games they control by waving at the webcam — real AI vision, real movement, no sitting still. Then they climb all the way to building games like the pros.

  • No robot kit to ship
  • Just a laptop & webcam
  • Small live groups

The grown-ups who make it click

Engineers, educators and competition mentors — chosen as much for patience as for credentials.

Anshu Yadav

Founder & Robotics Instructor

I founded AI & Robotics Academy because I wanted my own children to grow up fluent in the tools that are reshaping the world. With a Master's in Biotechnology, a Bachelor's in Education and a background in Data Science, I bring scientific depth, real classroom craft and technical skill together. For over five years I've been igniting curiosity in students from elementary school through college — and the moment a child's face changes when their robot finally works never gets old.
