We ask families for more than most websites do — a child's date of birth, their allergies, sometimes a medical note. We ask because we cannot look after a child safely without it, and this page explains exactly what happens to it afterwards.
The short version: we use family information to run the classes you enrol in and to reach you about them. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we do not use children's details for advertising. Photos are covered in section 5, and you can opt out of them at any time without giving a reason.
This site and AI & Robotics Academy are operated by RPY LLC, a Washington limited liability company, at 14040 NE 8th St Unit 302A, Bellevue, WA 98007. “We”, “us” and “our” mean RPY LLC.
This policy covers aiarobo.com, our enrolment and payment flow, and the parent communications that follow. It applies to information about parents and guardians, and to information about children that parents give us.
Almost all of it comes directly from you at enrolment.
We do not buy family information from anyone, and we do not build profiles of children.
Children do not create accounts with us and we do not collect information from children directly. Everything we hold about a child was given to us by their parent or guardian during enrolment.
Instructors see only what they need for the sessions they teach: the child's name, age band, allergies, and any note you have added. A child's information is never used for marketing, never used to target advertising, and never disclosed to another family.
If you want to see, correct or delete what we hold about your child, email info@aiarobo.com and we will action it within 30 days.
Allergy and medical notes are consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act. This section is our health-data notice.
What we collect: only what you choose to tell us in the allergy and medical fields at enrolment, plus any update you send us later.
Why: a single purpose — keeping your child safe during a session. We serve snacks daily, we run hands-on activities, and staff need to know before something happens rather than after.
Who sees it: the instructors and site staff responsible for your child's session, and the administrators who maintain our systems. Nobody else.
What we never do: we do not sell health information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to decide what to market to you. We will not disclose it to anyone outside our staff without your written authorisation, except where the law requires it or where a medical emergency makes it necessary to treat your child.
Your rights: you may ask us to confirm what health information we hold, who we have shared it with, and to delete it. Email info@aiarobo.com with “Health data request” in the subject. We respond within 45 days. Deleting allergy information may mean we can no longer safely accept your child into a session, and we will tell you if that is the case rather than quietly proceeding.
Photographs matter to us — they are how families see what their child actually did — and they are also the part of this policy families care most about. We run three tiers, and you control which one applies to your child.
Tier 1 — Inside the class (default)
Photos of activities shared with the families of that class, through class updates and the parent portal. By enrolling you agree to your child appearing in these. They are for personal family use — please do not repost another family's child publicly.
Tier 2 — Public marketing (only if you opt in)
Our website and social media. We prefer photographs that do not identify anyone — hands, robots, backs of heads. A photograph in which your child is recognisable is only used publicly if you ticked the marketing opt-in at enrolment — it is unticked by default and it is the only optional box on the form. Withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Tier 3 — No photographs at all
Some families need their child out of every frame, including class updates. Tell us — in writing, by email, or by asking any instructor for the opt-out form at either campus — and your child is issued a privacy wristband so every member of staff knows at a glance. No explanation needed, and it changes nothing about the class itself.
Withdrawing consent stops future use immediately. We will also remove existing images from our website and our own social media on request. We cannot claw back something already reshared by someone else, which is the honest limit of any such promise.
We never publish a child's full name alongside their photograph, and we never publish the name of a child's school.
We send marketing email only to parents who have asked for it, and every one has an unsubscribe link. Emails about a class you are enrolled in are not marketing and continue regardless.
Family information sits in an access-controlled database. Records containing children's details are readable only by signed-in staff — never by the public site. Traffic is encrypted. Card numbers never reach our servers.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your family's information, we will tell you and the Washington Attorney General as the law requires, and we will tell you what actually happened rather than the least alarming version of it.
Email info@aiarobo.com. We do not charge for any of this, and we will not make you explain why.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects families, we will email you rather than quietly reposting the page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
See also the Waiver & Participation Agreement, which covers participation, medical authorisation, pickup and cancellations.
Email info@aiarobo.com or call +1 (425) 405-0128. We answer privacy questions from families first, ahead of everything else.
