This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Student Photography & Digital Portfolios

A. The “Walled Garden” (Internal Use) To foster community and track progress, The Academy captures photos/videos of class activities. These are shared strictly within our Secure Parent Portal or Class Updates, accessible only to registered families of that specific cohort.

Default Status: By enrolling, you consent to your child’s inclusion in these internal group galleries.

Safety Protocol: These images are for personal family use only and may not be reposted on public social media by parents.

B. Public Marketing (External Use) We occasionally use student photos to celebrate our program on our website or social media (Instagram/Facebook).

Privacy Shield: We prioritize “action shots” (hands, robots, backs of heads).

Face Blur Policy: For high-visibility public marketing, we utilize AI blurring for student faces unless we have a specific “Star Student” release on file.

C. The “Strict Privacy” Opt-Out We respect families with unique privacy needs. If your child cannot be photographed under any circumstances (including internal galleries), you must notify us in writing. Your child will be issued a Privacy Wristband to alert staff to exclude them from all media.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Like many sites, we use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
